Mills runner-up in Jerry Goodwin Challenge at Talladega Short Track
Looking for another strong run at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) over the weekend, Trey Mills followed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Alabama for their second-to-last weekend of the season.
Among 39 Late Models signed in for the weekend, Mills laid down the second-fastest lap in his qualifying group which locked him into the evening's $5,000-to-win main event. In the quick 38-lap feature, Trey fell back to fifth but rallied to finish runner-up behind Ethan Dotson.
With $15,097 on the line in Saturday's finale, Mills started finished second in his heat race before fading in the 50-lap feature to finish outside the Top-10 in 12th.
Mills currently sits seventh in the series point standings.
