Mills spends Thanksgiving weekend at Swainsboro and North Florida
Trey Mills started off his extended Thanksgiving weekend at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) to compete in the annual Turkey 100.
Mills competed in both the 602 and 604 Late Model portion of the event on Thursday. Trey recorded a fourth-place in the 602 feature and bagged a podium spot in the 604 Late Model main event. With rain washing out the rest of the weekend's action at Swainsboro, Mills made a last minute decision to head to North Florida Speedway (Lake City, Fla.) for the Turkey Trot.
With 27 602 Late Models in competition on Friday, Mills finished fourth in his heat before charging from his 14th-place starting spot to finish runner-up behind Corey Howard in the 20-lap main event.
On Saturday, Mills entered his 604 Late Model into action with 15 cars on the grounds. Trey finished third in his heat race before going on to finish sixth in the $2,000-to-win feature.
